Snow Plow Operator

The Snow Plow Operator must be on call and available 24/7 to go out late at night or early in the morning to clear snow. This role requires being responsible for the safety and maintenance of your equipment. Fluid levels, engine belts, tires, brakes and lights are among the items you need to inspect frequently on a snowplow or truck.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages shoveler activity at multiple sites
Logs route activity (time and material) and keeps track of hours and activity for shovelers hours for recordkeeping
Anticipates and communicates material, equipment, and labor needs for assigned portions of jobs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience operating a snowplow to clear snow from the roadways
Experience with the use of spreaders for releasing salt and sand onto the roads as you drive to prevent build-up or freezing
Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions for work location
Ability to make solid, commonsense decisions
Adhere to and enforce safety standards
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
18 years or older
Must be reliable
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on your own
Must be able to be on your feet and work in the cold for long periods of time
Must possess valid and clean driver’s license
Possible pre-employment drug test

Compensation for this position: $25-$32 per hour
